Pledge by hot tub accessories company
Hot tub and pool products specialist Golden Coast is drawing up a shortlist of innovative products to showcase at SPATEX 2016 after being named as a finalist for Medium-sized Business of the Year in the North Devon Journal Business Awards.
The family-run company, which also specialises in sauna systems, has become the UK’s biggest independent distributor of wet leisure products to the trade following its lengthy run as a loyal SPATEX exhibitor. This will continue when Golden Coast takes part in the 20th anniversary of the hot tub, pool and wellness extravaganza on stands B18 and B32 at the Ricoh Arena from January 31 to February 2.
GoldenCoast has now pledged to unveil a number of exciting innovations at the special edition of SPATEX, but for the moment the company says it is keeping details of those products under wraps.
“We always like to inspire SPATEX visitors with innovative, state-of-the-art developments that will give their business a boost, but the manufacturers with whom we work create new solutions at such a pace that we need to delay our final choice of exhibits until nearer the date of the event,” said Golden Coast’s Managing Director Jamie Adams.
“As the UK’s largest independent distributor of wet leisure products to the trade, enjoying exclusive distribution deals with many of the world’s leading design and manufacturing companies, we have no shortage of items from which to choose.
“Trying to anticipate what will happen next in this market is an interesting challenge and we look forward to seeing what up-to-the-minute technological progress unfolds in the next few months.”
Although the Accord Group came out top in the Medium-sized Business of the Year category at the awards night presentation, which was attended by guest of honour Peter Heaton-Jones MP for North Devon, GoldenCoast now believes its latest recognition has helped to highlight a strong commitment to its core principles of innovation, knowledge and customer commitment. These principles, it states, have allowed GoldenCoast to identify gaps in the market, and in doing so respond with new products and services to meet those demands.
As part of its additional commitment to always seek further opportunities for growth, the last two years have seen the former Sundance Spas and Marquis distributor enter into exclusive deals with a number of industry leading names, including Darlly Europe – the world’s number one manufacturer of filter cartridges – and EVA Optic – young, innovative lighting pioneers from the Netherlands.
Jamie also highlighted the company’s key strength of changing to market conditions as being pivotal to previous success and declared: “Our greatest strength is being able to quickly adapt to ever-changing market conditions.
“But our success lies in our ability to give our customers the opportunity to do exactly the same and take advantage of new opportunities as they develop.”
He also reported that in recent years, the wet leisure sector has been under pressure from decreased discretionary spending. He also highlighted that by diversifying its product offerings and customer services, GoldenCoast has successfully driven consumer sales throughout.
He highlighted that in 2013, the company introduced a new sales tool: the retrofit brochure. Not for their customers, but for their customers’ customers. Professionally designed by GoldenCoast’s in-house design team, the artwork was made available to GoldenCoast customers – fully branded with the individual pool company’s logo and details – at no cost.
“In the first few months of 2015, no fewer than 40 companies benefitted from this service… and that number continues to rise,” reported Jamie.
