Sports star joining visitor events
SPATEX organisers have reported that there will be a sports star VIP among a record-breaking list of exhibitor stands running alongside special events, displays, discounts and seminars for visitors.
When the doors open on the first day of SPATEX this week, running from Tuesday, February 6, to Thursday, February 8, at the Coventry Building Society Arena, a sporting legend VIP is scheduled to be in attendance on the SpaFlo stand. Founder and Managing Director of the Widnes-based stainless steel hot tub, swim spa, and swimming pool company Richard Gowland has recently been appointed to the BISHTA Committee and is teaming up with a famous British sports star to launch an innovative design concept on Stand A19.
SpaFlo launched its unique ‘water wall’ design at SPATEX last year, which has now been incorporated by Sexy Fish in Manchester as part of its stunning interior, and then received BISHTA Gold Awards for the ‘Residential Hot Tubs £14,000 and Over’ and the ‘Swim and Exercise Spas’ categories during the 2023 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards. Following the completion of the first day of SPATEX 2024, from 6:45pm, the latest BISHTA Award recipients will be announced at the Industry Gala Evening in the Coventry Building Society Arena as part of the 2024 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards ceremony, hosted by SPATA and BISHTA, which will be occupying Stand A1 during the exhibition.
For a successive year the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) has chosen SPATEX for the launch of their Swim to the Beat campaign on Stand A17 to raise valuable funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Swimmers will be performing aquatic exercises on the second day of SPATEX as part of a relay schedule in a swim spa provided by Sunbeach Spas on Stand B32 that willalso be face-to-face consultations on the Oasis Spas range. Dedicated Swim to the Beat sessions are scheduled for: 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm, and SPATEX visitors are being urged to provide support to the swimmers at these times for the very worthy cause.
Organisers will then be aiming to make a splash on Wednesday evening during the SPATEX Networking Party, from 5pm. Exhibitors and visitors can take advantage of this annual networking event with free drinks, canapes, and the traditional distribution of hats that can help to win prizes.
Throughout the three days of SPATEX, organisers are urging visitors to take advantage of discounts from a bumper list of exhibitors providing a record-breaking showcase of hot tub products, accessories and associated services. They have been promoting the fact that Newcastle-based Wave Spa on Stand D70 is offering a free spa display to all independent spa retailers that sign up to its dealership programme during the exhibition.
Wave Spa representatives will also be promoting the new Wave Rigid Eco Foam Spa Collection, which is produced utilising Wave Eco Foam Core with Wave Heat Integrated Technology (HIT).
There are three new models available in this collection across a range of sizes. The Garda is Wave’s square-shaped luxury spa, pictured, fitting either up to four or six people. The Tahoe round spa has the option of seating up to four or six people. Whereas the Como, the octagonal option, is sized to accommodate five people
Apart from a small amount of space in-store for the spa display, there is no Wave Spa inventory requirement for dealerships. Orders are processed on the company’s B2B portal and dealers then receive 20 per cent commission (excluding tax). Once the order is received, Wave Spa delivers direct to the customer and also provides after-services.
