Advanced water analysis technology
Lovibond has been diving into promotion of its latest development in water analysis technology in the form of the MD150 Multi-Parameter Photometer that ensures advanced reliability and efficiency.
According to Lovibond, the MD150 represents a new generation of photometers for water testing solutions with exceptional performance and versatility to provide user-friendly technology for enhanced capabilities tailored for pool or spa water analysis. From chlorine (free, combined, and total) to pH, alkalinity, cyanuric acid, and calcium hardness, the MD150 ensures precise measurements to maintain water clarity and safety.
As part of the promotion, Lovibond has also highlighted that while the MD150 is optimised for pool water control, it is versatile enough to handle applications in drinking water and industrial water analysis. It complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, which allows it to be a trusted tool for both commercial and regulatory testing environments.
Key features include multi-parameter testing, with the capability to measure a wide range of parameters for comprehensive water analysis. Also, the user-friendly design incorporates an intuitive, icon-driven interface with color-coded backlighting to indicate results and errors.
Flexible reagent options ensure it is compatible with tablets, powders, or liquids; which provides seamless integration with existing testing methods. Users also benefit from effortless data management, with the capability to store up to 100 data sets and transfer records via NFC or USB-C for simplified reporting.
Durable and portable, with a waterproof rating of IP67, the rugged MD150 is built for field and laboratory use, and can provide up to 5000 measurements with two AA batteries for fast and high-precision results. In addition, the high-precision optics and a ‘One-Time-Zero’ function reduce testing time while ensuring accuracy.
The Lovibond Data Expert software, which utilises USB-C connectivity for fast and reliable data transfer to the Windows-based PC, helps to realise the full potential of the MD150 photometer and provides a platform for creating a custom method and effortlessly updating firmware and methods.
Further analyses of the results can be performed by exporting the data as a CSV file. The software is available free of charge in the ‘Downloads’ section of the MD150 photometers.
