Expansion after new location launch

Spa Parts Vortex is continuing expansion plans after hosting Balboa Water Group Vice President & Managing Director Jean-Pierre Parent for the official launch of a new office and warehouse location in Portsmouth.

The new Hilsea-based facility represents a significant investment in the company’s future, with over £300,000 spent to date in its development. It features a comprehensive trade reception and product showcase area.

Also incorporated into the design is an improved yard with enhanced parking and delivery facilities, along with a spacious warehouse with advanced storage solutions. There is also dedicated areas for marketing, research and development, as well as specific locations for staff wellness.

Spa Parts Vortex Managing Director Darren Waters, pictured left, has reported that this milestone marks a pivotal year for the company, as it continues to expand operations both in Europe and into the USA.

“We are thrilled to unveil our newly expanded facilities, marking a significant milestone in our company’s journey,” divulged Darren.

“This has been a race against the clock to be ready for our grand opening, and while there are still some small parts to finish, this is an evolving project that will continue to develop alongside our company. This year is an important year for us as we prepare to relocate to larger facilities in Europe and have already established a base in the USA, ready to open late this year.

“We are excited about the future possibilities that our expanded facilities in Hilsea offer. With a more robust infrastructure now in place, we look forward to enhancing our service offerings and meeting the growing demands of our customers.”

Cutting the ribbon at the event was Balboa Water Group Vice President & Managing Director Jean-Pierre Parent, pictured, who revealed: “It was a great honour indeed and an invitation I couldn’t refuse despite the 6,000 miles that separate us.

“In my first meeting with Darren in early 2009, a few months after he incorporated his business, I quickly understood that his expertise in hot tubs and his determination to fill the void created by the demise of Spaform were a recipe for success.

“I wanted to make sure that Balboa would stand on his side while he was working hard at growing his business. We got to know each other well over the years and our friendship obviously helped us navigate through various challenges.

“I see the inauguration of his new distribution centre and HQs as a major milestone in his career. Like any great leader, he knew how to surround himself with a great team which became an integral part of Vortex success.

“It was an honour for me to cut the ribbon and I wish Vortex a brilliant future as the spare parts business has a huge potential in years to come with many, many of spas in the field.”
