Gearing up for sold-out 2025 spectacular edition

SPATEX organisers are gearing up for a sold-out 2025 edition that is being proclaimed as a spectacular showcase of hot tub and pool products with the latest technology and training top of the agenda.

The 29th outing of the wet leisure showcase, which will be making its 11th appearance at the award-winning Coventry Building Society Arena, has been sold out for months after the record-breaking success of SPATEX 2024. It is now on the final countdown for what organisers have revealed is a mission to educate, exhibit and entertain, as part of an unmissable, free-to-attend event from February 4 to 6. Along with hot tub water maintenance training, the education schedule for 2025 includes a new ‘Pool Plant Theatre’.

A bumper list of over 100 exhibitors from ten countries has been boosted by a strong representation from the hot tub and swim spa sector. They will be rolling out new products and services to trade visitors from the whole spectrum of the water leisure market, from those involved in the provision, management, and delivery of public and private water leisure services to schools, holiday parks, hotels, as well as builders, architects and specifiers.

All water leisure product groups for both the commercial and domestic sectors are featured, including hot tubs, spas, swim spas cold water treatment products, saunas, swimming pools, wellness facilities, children’s play features, enclosures, plus all the ancillary equipment. As always, visitors have the opportunity to view, touch and discuss the latest products and trends and take advantage of exclusive show offers.

Conserving energy will be a key feature on exhibitors’ stands, and organisers have revealed that products on display are set to include the latest heat retention spa covers, LED lighting, air source heat pumps, along with advanced insulation for hot tubs and one-piece pools.

After exhibitor appearances at the PSP/Deck Expo in Dallas and Piscine Global in Lyon, as part of ambitious plans to expand its thriving international market presence, SPATEX regular Superior Wellness will be showcasing new Platinum Spas models along with a bumper range of products. Sundance Spas distributor MySpa Distribution is making a second successive appearance to promote the iconic brand and a blossoming network of UK dealers; while Recotherm will be kicking of its 40th anniversary celebrations during SPATEX.

Vita Spa and USSPA distribution specialist Aqua Warehouse Group, which also supplies the Covana automated cover systems to complement hot tub and swim spa installation projects, is extending its run of consecutive appearances. Among its latest product options will be promotion of a new partnership to supply Belgium-manufactured Telluria steel garden structures that can be combined with hot tubs as part of additional ‘under cover’ options.

Wet leisure product powerhouse Certikin, which supplies hot tubs manufactured by Hungary-based Wellis, is continuing a long run as a SPATEX exhibitor with a multi-stand presence. Oasis Outdoor Living is also extending its status as a successive exhibitor to promote its latest hot tubs and swim spas, including award-winning Oasis Spas models, and additional product launches, along with cold water therapy technology and saunas.

Another exhibitor making a successive appearance will be Tuff Spas distributor 1 Stop Spas, which will be promoting a flourishing partnership with Poolstar and a range of Spawer products including Spawer Heat Pumps and the new durable Spawer Steps manufactured with high grade powder coated aluminium for long lasting reliability.

Other exhibitors lined up for the sold-out SPATEX 2025 spectacular include: Aquafinesse BV, Aquatherapy UK, Astralpool UK ltd, Balboa Group, Bellagio Spas, Brenntag UK Group, British Swimming Pool Federation, Bullfrog Spas, Certikin Ltd, Darlly Europe, GMT Spas International Ltd, Golden Coast Ltd, Hydrospares, ITS Europe Ltd, Johnson Analytica Ltd, Kuntze Instruments UK, LaMotte Europe, Lo-Chlor Chemicals, Lovibond Tintometer, O-Care, Passion Spas, Plastica Ltd, Poolstar Ltd, SCP Uk Ltd, S-Zone, Spa Care UK Ltd, SPA Parts Vortex, Suntrap Systems, and Water Treatment Products Ltd.  

Meanwhile, as SPATEX’s main provider of education and training, the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE) Workshop programme will once again dovetail with the exhibition’s showcase of products and services. A diverse range of topics are scheduled for the informative ISPE workshop programme in Arena 1 and, likewise, that of the seminar programme in Arena 2.

Arena 1, as always, is dedicated to ISPE and its 20 CPD accredited workshops. These will be covering topics such as an annual health and safety update on legislation and cases over the past 12 months and details of forthcoming changes; Legionella and the importance of microbiological testing in a business setting;  commercial spa maintenance; energy savings with the correct pipe and pipework configuration;  the planning, design and layout of plant rooms, as well as the importance of microbiological testing in a business setting.

It has been revealed that sustainability will be a major topic in the double seminar programme which, along with ISPE, is being supported by BISHTA and SPATA, along with the Swimming Teachers Association (STA), Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG), Water Management Society (WMSoc), Legionella Control Association (LCA), Institute of Swimming (IoS). Combined, they will deliver their individual insights and knowledge to create a varied programme of seminars, which incorporates hands-on practical advice with technical know-how; plus critical health and safety guidance, as well as compliance advice. 

A major new addition for 2025 will be the launch of the ‘Pool Plant Theatre’. The Institute of Swimming (IOS), in collaboration with the Swimming Teachers Association (STA), Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE), and Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) are planning a series of hands-on workshops, speaker panels, and forum, catering for the specific needs of the commercial pool operator. There will be four sessions on Tuesday afternoon and four on Wednesday morning. 

Following the conclusion of the first day of SPATEX, the CBS Arena is once again hosting the Wet Leisure Industry Gala Evening with the 2025 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards including the BISHTA Awards and SPATA Awards presentation ceremonies by BISHTA and SPATA and the re-presentation of the ISPE Awards.

Immediately after the second day of SPATEX ends, on Wednesday, February 5, all exhibitors and visitors are invited to the Networking Party for the traditional after show celebration in the Arena’s Clubhouse for networking, free canapes and drinks, and a very collectible SPATEX gift. This will be followed, from 7pm. with the SPATEX Casino and Mexican Chilli Evening in the on-site Grosvenor Casino.

For casino die-hards or casino newbies, SPATEX has hired three croupiers to officiate and will happily teach the rudiments of the most popular casino games from 8pm-10pm.  A delicious sit-down chilli supper, meat or three bean vegan option available, with rice, nachos, garlic bread, cheese topping and hot sauces, will be served 7.15pm-8.45pm.
