Golden BISHTA boost from virtual awards

Leading hot tub and swim spa retailers gained a virtual BISHTA Awards boost for their showroom services this year after being bestowed with prestigious trade accolades during the 2021 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards.
In front of a ‘virtual audience’ following the opening day of SPATEX Virtual, the 2021 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards ceremony was presented online by utilising the professional services of voiceover artist Gina Mellotte, whose vocal talents have also been employed by the virtual Food Matters Live 2020 Awards. Special VIP guest presenter was double Gold medal-winning Paralympian in archery and motivational speaker Danielle Brown MBE, who is the co-author of children’s book ‘Be Your Best Self’.
This year five-time World Champion Danielle, who achieved a Gold Medal at the London 2012 Olympics and achieved ‘World Number One’ status during her entire archery career and became the first para athlete to represent England in an able bodied team to then win Gold, is joining up with a World Record attempt by CLAW (Conquering Land Air Water) Global to be part of the largest team of disabled people to scuba dive in the open sea as part of Operation Blue Freedom to help change the perceptions of people with disabilities (PwD) during triple land, air, and water element record attempts.
“I may be a tiny cog in a very large wheel, but it quickly gains momentum when more players join forces,” divulged Danielle, as part of the pre-record attempt promotion; “We all have the capacity to make a difference and together we can change the world.”
Before announcing the winners of several BISHTA and SPATA categories, including the ‘Hot Tub Happiness’ winners, Danielle said: “I love a good awards ceremony.”
BISHTA Gold Awards for the ‘Hot Tub Happiness’ and ‘Hot Tubs Change Lives’ categories went to Hot Tub Suppliers, who also claimed a ‘golden hat-trick’ in the online ceremony by winning a ‘Best Use of Digital Media’ Gold Award for its website, which is currently promoting the launch of a new Perseus Pro hot tub design, to follow up last year’s launch of the Olympus Pro.
Artesian Spas hot tubs and TidalFit swim spas dealership, North Spas, which is a Covana automatic cover specialist supplier, gained a quadruple haul of 2021 BISHTA Gold Awards in the presentation ceremony for its top quality installations in various price categories, including the pictured ‘Residential Hot Tubs £14,000 and Over’ category entry, as well as golden trade recognition for its digital media capability.
Multi-brand retailing specialist Welsh Hot Tubs; which is an Endless Pools swim spa dealership and supplies American Whirlpool and Marquis hot tubs and swim spas, as well as a dedicated Marquis Holiday Park range and energy-efficient Afon range of hot tubs for the hot tub holiday rental business sector; received the BISHTA Gold Award for the ‘Hot Tubs in a Holiday Setting’ category.
The prestigious BISHTA ‘Showroom of the Year’ GOLD Award was won for a successive year by Jacuzzi and Sundance Spas specialist retailer Outdoor Living, for its Leeds showroom.
BISHTA and SPATA Managing Director Chris Hayes, who has been taking part in the SPATEX Virtual Seminar schedule that includes a franchise opportunity presentation by Award Leisure Franchise, opened the online awards ceremony ahead of participation by BISHTA Chairman Pete Grinnall, and SPATA Chairman Richard Carrington. The ceremony also included participation by ISPE President Phil Barlow, and BSPF President Jamie Smith.
