Holiday park winners booked in at NEC

Leading WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award-winning brands have booked into the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation show at the Birmingham NEC to highlight the benefits of combining hot tubs with holidays in the UK.

After gaining WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award-winning status for their hot tub holiday products in the inaugural edition of the trade magazine, Jacuzzi Spa & Bath, Marquis and RotoSpa will be returning for successive appearances as one of the 400 exhibitors aiming to enhance their presence in the tourism sector; that includes the thriving caravan holiday market, which contributes around £6billion per year to the UK’s economy.

The two-day event; which is taking place at the West Midlands venue this week on Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7, has attracted hot tub, swim spa and outdoor product specialist Award Leisure to make an appearance as an exhibitor. The thriving dealer network will be joined by additional brands and representatives from the British wet leisure market, including a specialist CertiDos promotion from Certikin at the exhibition that has a schedule of 500 guest speakers; which includes BISHTA Managing Director Chris Hayes.

Chris will be appearing for a successive year on the guest speaker list and is due to conduct his half-hour talk on ‘Managing Hot Tubs in Business Settings’ in Theatre 10 during the afternoon of the first day of the exhibition on Wednesday, from 2pm to 2:30pm.

It follows on from BISHTA, which will have a dedicated exhibitor presence on Stand 850 to promote its services and the next edition of SPATEX in 2020, attending the recent Glamping Show to highlight hot tub business benefits and also provide advice on the critical HSG282 guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), as well as professional training from BISHTA and third party suppliers such as Lincolnshire-based SpaTech Training, which has launched comprehensive courses covering all aspects of holiday park hot tub management.

“The Glamping Show was a great success for BISHTA,” reported Chris. “We were inundated on the stand with enquiries from various types of businesses in the holiday accommodation industry, asking about training, BISHTA membership and with questions about HSG282 compliance.”

SpaTech Training chief and Marquis specialist retailer at 1 Stop Spas Chris Brady was on hand to support BISHTA at the Glamping Show and provide information about the hot tub training scheme; which has recently launched at Holiday Park Hot Tub Management course for those providing hot tub accommodation holidays.

This course is designed to be taken in addition to the BISHTA Water Hygiene Management Course as a more detailed and advanced course specific to Hot Tub Operators. Once candidates have completed both the BISHTA Water Hygiene Management Course (Pt A) and the BISHTA Hot Tub Operation in Holiday Parks & Homes Course (Pt B), Holiday Park Operators can then put their business forward to be awarded by BISHTA the status of ‘Hot Tub Safe Operator’; as part of a new scheme commencing in the New Year.

For a successive year Chris, who has launched a new hot tub and swim spa showroom in Sleaford to promote USA manufactured designs including Marquis hot tubs and swim spas, will be helping to promote the award-winning fully compliant HSG282 Marquis hot tubs on Stand H800 at the NEC this week.

In the past year Marquis has been rewarded for its commitment to developing hot tubs specifically for the UK holiday market by gaining a trio of WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award accolades for the Holiday Park Escape, the Holiday Park Getaway, and the Holiday Park Relax. They have various seating configurations but have all been produced with strict manufacturing standards to ensure that functionality and design features are truly applicable to the UK’s holiday park market by being fully HSG282 compliant.

Dan Johnson, who serves the flourishing Marquis dealer network in the UK,  has reported that the fact that the new designs of the fully HSG282 compliant award-winning hot tubs has  proved to be a hit in the holiday park market.

“We’ve been very pleased with the interest that the launch of these products has generated and we’re looking to progress the good quality sales leads from holiday businesses that want to increase their bookings with our fully HSG282 compliant hot tubs,” said Dan.

A continuous run of large orders for the Marquis designs has been delivered to sites run by Forest Holidays; who are the first holiday chain to gain ‘Certified Hot Tub Technician’ status after successful SpaTech Training tuition from Chris Brady and his team.

In addition, as he did last year, Chris is scheduled to team up with EJ Bowman Sales Manager Tony Carter to promote advanced technology to ensure hot tub water can be quickly heated up to optimum temperature very quickly as part of their talk entitled ‘Faster Hot Tub Heating for Holiday Parks and Resorts’, due to take place in Theatre 11 on Wednesday, from 2pm to 2:30pm.

Technical Director Karl Rowntree from British manufacturer Rotospa was another representative from the hot tub industry who provided additional trade support to BISHTA during the Glamping Show and the West Midlands-based manufacturer is also booked in for another appearance at the NEC, after being acclaimed with two prestigious Gold Awards in the 2019 BISHTA Awards for the ‘Best Use of Digital Media’ category, and the ‘Hot Tubs Change Lives’ category during the 2019 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards.

Rotospa made the short journey from its production facility to the NEC earlier this year to promote its products to visitors at the Gardener’s World Live exhibition. It has gained popularity in the holiday park market for its rugged designs and now the manufacturer, which has invested heavily in enhancements for its product range for this thriving market, will be exhibiting on Stand H881 to build on the success of previous appearances at the Holiday Park and Resort Innovation show after being bestowed with a WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award for the Serenity Spa model in the inaugural edition of the trade magazine, following on from gaining a BISHTA Gold Award in the ‘Hot Tubs in a Holiday Setting’ category at last year’s British Pool & Hot Tub Awardsceremony,

Jacuzzi is another established exhibitor at the event seeking to promote its new WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award-winning status on Stand 1210 for its advanced Lodge Range hot tub holiday products; as well as its premium sales and customer service credentials endorsed by major players in the holiday park market.

After achieving numerous WhatSpa? and WhatSwimSpa? Best Buy Awards and attending major outdoor exhibitions in 2019, including the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate supported by specialist dealer Outdoor Living, the Jacuzzi team based in Leeds will be promoting the fact that it has been helping to supply hundreds of hot tubs to new and existing holiday park customers during this past year.

As part of their WhatSpa? Approved services to holiday park customers, Jacuzzi supplies a specialist kit with standard replacement parts and there is also a dedicated network of over 40 dealers and specialist regional Jacuzzi Service Centres that businesses can call on for immediate response to solve any hot tub issues they may have before it becomes a major loss of revenue problem.

Customers include holiday destination businesses promoted by Hoseasons, one of the newly-acquired brands by the Awaze group – Europe’s leading managed vacation rentals and holiday resorts business, which has recently launched its ‘Hoseasons Hot Tub Season’ sales and marketing promotion for over 4,200 hot tub destinations with the chance to win an off-peak hot tub holiday short break for up to four people at two locations with stunning views to enjoy while sampling hydrotherapy before the November 5 deadline.

With profitability and reputations at stake, Jacuzzi National Sales Manager Martyn Winstone has urged hot tub holiday businesses to seek out top quality hot tub products from reputable showroom retailers to avoid disappointment and ensure a high level of return from their investments.

“If people are paying premium prices for hot tub holidays then they naturally will want quality and reliability when they are using hot tubs,” divulged Martyn.

“There is no point in cutting corners with this sort of financial outlay, as the last thing you want as a holiday park owner is to see your investment in hot tubs go down the drain due to poor manufacturing or operational issues that result in negative reviews from customers.”

Award Leisure, which exclusively supplies the Regency Spas range throughout its booming network of showrooms as well as Coast Spas hot tubs and swim spas, is making its debut at the exhibition on Stand H840 after being bestowed with a Gold Award in the ‘Hot Tubs in a Holiday Setting’ category of the 2019 BISHTA Awards at this year’s British Pool & Hot Tub Awards. An additional Gold Award was won in the ‘Residential Hot Tubs below £7,000’ category, which has resulted in Award Leisure being shortlisted for a prestigious trade accolade by being entered into the 2019 European Pool & Spa Awards with the ceremony taking place this week at Aquanale 2019.

As part of sales and marketing initiatives for its showrooms in Warwickshire, Lincolnshire, Cheshire, Birmingham, Tamworth and London, Award Leisure will also be promoting the fact that it provides exclusive aromatherapy products from SpaMate, along with Gibus Awnings and Valkea Log Cabins as part of a wide range of enclosure and landscaping capabilities from its WhatSpa? Approved status dealership services and its unique standing as the only Which? Trusted Trader hot tub and swim spa retailer.

CertiDos dosing solutions from Certikin, which also has the exclusive UK distributor status for the USA’s Caldera Spas and Fantasy Spas hot tub brands from global manufacturing heavyweight Watkins Wellness that has been bestowed with multiple 2019 WhatSpa? Best Buy Awards for Caldera Spas designs, will also be showcased by the wet leisure product powerhouse on a dedicated stand to provide information about the innovative dosing technology.

One of the key benefits being promoted by Certikin’s CertiDos exhibition team on Stand 770 will be the fact that the user-friendly controllers range from single to multi parameter, are easy to navigate and are available with optional remote connectivity functionality. As well as the sampling and control equipment, the CertiDos range also incorporates a comprehensive selection of accessories, such as injectors, multifunction valves and tanks.

A major element of Certikin’s success in the market has been its premium provision of customer care and as part of its CertiDos services the company will be highlighting its on-site services for customers to compliment the supply of equipment. These include free of charge professional site surveys for the specification of equipment and health and safety advice in relation to installation and operation.

Other exhibitors from the wet leisure sector include: Aqua Design & Leisure, Blue Whale Spa, Canadian Spa Company, Complete Pool Controls, Darlly Europe, Lighthouse Pools, Spa Euro, Sunbeach Spas, Suntrap Systems, and Wizard Hot Tubs.

The subject of ‘Glamping’ is one of the debate topics throughout the two days, which is scheduled to commence at 1pm on Wednesday. Opening times for visitors on both days of the exhibition are from 10am to 5pm.
