Hot advice for romantic couples
Hot tubs are being proclaimed as popular features for ensuring romantic couples can gain the most memorable benefits from their accommodation during Valentine’s Day breaks.
Ahead of the Valentine bookings bonanza, Together Travel has highlighted hot tubs as being features for couples to seek out while making final accommodation plans for their romantic breaks. The advice is part of promotion for new search engine analysis by the travel company, which also revealed that London has seen a 13 per cent surge in people planning a Valentine’s Day break.
According to the search analysis, Northern Ireland is nationally the Valentine’s Day leader this year with a 6.4 per cent uplift in searches; while England and Scotland have both experienced the second highest leap with a 4.5 per cent increase in searches, whilst Wales has had a drop of -0.1 per cent in searches.
Zak Ali from Together Travel believes the analysis is proof that there is increased demand for romantic travel this week. He has also suggested that couples wanting to achieve a memorable Valentine’s Day break should consider accommodations that offers a special touch, such as countryside lodges, or luxury glamping experiences, which increasingly feature hot tubs.
“The rising interest for romantic getaways highlights the desire couples have to escape and create unforgettable experiences through visiting unique and intimate retreats,” divulged Zak.
“Finding that dream destination is key to a memorable Valentine’s weekend. Features like hot tubs, fireplaces, or private balconies can add to the romantic atmosphere.”
Meanwhile, the latest 2025 WhatSpa? Holiday Park magazine is helping to promote the fact that hot tubs ensure a bookings boost all-year-round, not just for key dates in the calendar.
This year specialist holiday hot tub models from award-winning brands, including American Whirlpool, Artesian Spas, Catalina Spas, Jacuzzi, Marquis, Master Spas, Reef Spas, RotoSpa, Strong Spas, Sunbeach Spas, Tuff Spas, Vacation Range by Superior Wellness, Viking Spas, Vortex Spas, and Wellis; will be assisting holiday parks and holiday accommodation businesses, such as Forest Holidays, pictured, to attract and meet the demand from new customers with their WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award-winning hot tubs.
Among these award-winning hot tubs are the American Whirlpool 171, Artesian Spas 729L and 729B, Catalina Spas CS-3HP and CX-6HP, Jacuzzi Lodge M and Lodge L, Marquis Holiday Park Escape, Master Spas GL4 Getaway Lodge, Reef Spas Coral and Ocean, RotoSpa Sanctuary and Escape, Strong Spas G-2B, Sunbeach Spas SB344S and SB3545, Tuff Spas TT250, TT450 and TT650, Vortex Spas Eon, Vacation Range Vacation Social, Viking Spas Legend 1 and Tradition 1; along with the Wellis Valencia Holiday Let Spa.
Many of these models will be catering for the busy Valentine’s Day demand, but before any couples plunge into planning indulgent hydrotherapy wellness memories as part of their own romantic breaks this year, Zak advises that there needs to be shared views of the final destination before booking is completed.
“Whether it’s a cosy countryside retreat, a scenic coastal escape, or a vibrant city break, select a location that aligns with both of your ideas of romance,” suggests Zak; “Some couples may prefer a quiet cabin in the woods, while others enjoy the energy of a historic town.
“Activities such as wine tasting, couples’ spa treatments, scenic hikes, or private dining experiences can make the trip even more special. Tailoring the itinerary to shared interests will enhance the getaway.
“Small details like arranging a surprise dinner, booking a room with a scenic view, or bringing along a personalised gift can make the stay even more meaningful.”
